With the JR Pass :
(If you are travelling by bullet train, `shinkansen`)
As the travel time from Osaka to Shiraishijima Island is directly related to the ticket fare, instead of changing shinkansen at Okayama station, it works out cheaper if you travel from Osaka to Fukuyama station by shinkansen, then change to JR local train from Fukuyama station to Kasaoka station.
You also recommand you to use the JR-West Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass or the JR-West Sanyo-San'in Area Pass.
Also be careful :
- With the JR-West Kansai WIDE area pass, the last station cover by this pass is Kurashiki station. So you need to change train at Okayama station for the JR local train. You will also have to pay ¥500 for the way between Kurashiki station and Kasaoka station (not covered by this pass).
- The pass is not valid for the ferry.

| From Okayama Station, proceed on JR Sanyo Main Line to Kasaoka Station (45min.). Walk to the ferry port (7min). (If you change trains at Fukuyama Station, it takes about 15 minutes to Kasaoka Station.) |

Regular - 35min.
Shiraishi Ferry : 50min.
If traveling by car, please park your car at the ferry port in Kasaoka. No parking space is available at the Villa. |
